Spotify’s catalog contains over 30 million tracks, but the majority of daily streams are made up of the most recent chart hits. To encourage music discovery within the app, we created Taste Rewind, a digital experience that analyzes your music data and serves you recommendations of alternative playlists that you would have listened to if you had lived in other decades, based on your contemporary music taste.
Finally, proof that you are a taste maker.
Spotify wanted to really serve the passions of music lovers as a way to win their hearts - and what do music lovers love most? Claiming that they discovered an artist, of course. We created Found Them First, the first-ever experience to prove through data that you were the person in your friend group to discover and spread an artist, and quantify your musical influence in your friend group. Yes, you discovered Tame Impala, it was you.

A Swedish-born music app isn’t a natural fit for Thanksgiving, until you realize that the hours you spend cooking with your loved ones would be a lot more fun if they were being DJ’d properly. To make turkey day just a bit more fun, we created Time for Turkey, a turkey timer that generates a playlist to the exact length of your bird’s cook time, based on weight, to make your time with family just a little bit sweeter.
